LNG

Respect Energy Fuels is an active participant in the LNG market in Poland and abroad. We offer products for both the wholesale and retail markets. With a fleet of tankers dedicated to the transport of LNG, we deliver from most terminals that have infrastructure for its reloading. Delivery directions include terminals in Lithuania, Poland, the Netherlands and Belgium.

Competencies in the field of network gas trading allow us to create LNG offers that go beyond the standards used on the retail market.

In addition to the supply of energy carriers, we also provide infrastructure solutions for LNG regasification. We carry out projects on a turnkey basis, from the construction and technical design phase to the commissioning of the installation and subsequent technical support.

We are open to proposals for flexible cooperation using the synergy resulting from our competences in the area of LNG trading, supply logistics, dedicated technical infrastructure for LNG processing, as well as network gas.

LNG definition

LNG (liquefied natural gas) is a form of liquefied gas fuel produced by cooling natural gas to very low temperatures, which causes it to liquefy. The main component of natural gas is methane. The process of liquefying natural gas aims to reduce its volume, which has a positive effect on its transport and storage. Liquefied natural gas occupies approximately 1/600 of the volume of gas in the gaseous state, which makes it easier to transport by ship, tanker, or pipeline. Once delivered to its destination, the gas can be vaporized and reused.

LNG is widely used as an energy source in various sectors, including electricity production, transport (particularly maritime transport) and as vehicle fuel. Its use is also associated with reducing greenhouse gas emissions, because liquefied natural gas contains fewer pollutants than traditional fossil fuels.

LNG application

LNG (liquefied natural gas) is used in various sectors and fields due to its advantages of easier transportation, storage and lower emissions.

Production

LNG is used to produce electricity in thermal power plants. Liquefied natural gas can be burned in gas turbines or internal combustion engines to generate power, allowing power to be quickly adjusted to meet changing demand.

Chemical Industry

LNG is used in some industrial processes, both as a fuel and as a chemical feedstock. It is used to produce ammonia, methanol and other chemical products.

Transport

LNG is used as a fuel to power vehicles, especially in maritime transport. LNG-powered ships are relatively more environmentally friendly because burning LNG generates lower emissions of sulfur dioxide (SO2) and particulate matter compared to traditional fuels.

Pipelines And Storage

LNG enables the transportation of natural gas over long distances using special tankers. After delivery, it can be stored in special tanks at the destination.

District Heating

LNG can be used to produce heat in industrial processes and to heat buildings and other facilities. It is an alternative to traditional gas fuels or heating oil.

Reduction Of CO2 Emissions

LNG is sometimes used in the transport sector, particularly for trucks and buses, to reduce emissions of nitrogen compounds and particulate matter.

Advantages of LNG

The advantages of liquefied natural gas (LNG) include several issues that make it an attractive solution compared to traditional fossil fuels. Here are some of the main advantages of LNG.

Environmental Cleanliness

LNG combustion generates lower emissions of sulfur dioxide (SO2), particulate matter and nitrogen oxides (NOx) compared to traditional fuels, which helps to improve air quality and reduce the negative impact on the environment.

Security

in the event of a leak, natural gas is lighter than air, which causes the rapidly rising gas to become diluted. As a result, the risk of fire or explosion is lower compared to some other fuels.

Diversification Of Energy Sources

The use of LNG as a fuel contributes to the diversification of energy sources, which may increase the country's energy security.

New Technology

There is a developed infrastructure for the production, transport, storage and use of LNG. This facilitates its implementation in various areas of the economy.

Energetic Efficiency

LNG has a high energy content compared to its volume in the gaseous state. Liquefying natural gas increases its energy density, making it easier to store and transport.

Transport and storage

LNG can be transported over long distances, both by sea and by land - this allows gas to be delivered where it is needed. In addition, liquefied natural gas can be stored in special tanks, which provides flexibility in supply management.

Reduction Of Greenhouse Gas Emissions

Liquefied natural gas, or LNG, is an important source of energy in the context of electricity production in thermal power plants. The LNG combustion process in gas turbines or internal combustion engines allows for flexible power adjustment to effectively meet variable electricity demand.

Variety Of Applications

LNG is used in various sectors, such as electricity production, road and sea transport, chemical industry, and heating. It is this versatility that makes LNG can be used in various areas of the economy.
